I’m actually looking forward to the Black cat movie bites shirt day cars can drive us to our destinations with little or no input from a “driver” but I don’t think we can or should do half measures. If you want to drive, you should be able to take control but we shouldn’t be expected to halfway through a journey. We shouldn’t have to hold the wheel as even in the so-called driver’s seat, you’re now a passenger. A question I think is worth asking if cars are able to drive themselves safely, does this mean the person in the driver’s seat (now a passenger) has any responsibility or can they sit there drunk whilst being driven by the car itself?
Either the Black cat movie bites shirt car is in control or the driver is. Unless the driver is actively engaged then the likelihood is that they won’t be ready to step in quick enough. Drivers will still need to be aware of what is going on around them so they still need to be alert to take back control so what’s the point? The only point I could see to this would be so that you can relax and do other things. Instead, you would have to be MORE alert. Watching the traffic around you AND making sure your car is doing what it should or taking back control. Anyone saying they already have it, please enlighten us as to why its a good thing. What do you do when activated? That’s nothing! We’ve had brain free driving here in Australia for years! Only on a freshly painted traffic-free motorway test track would hands-free be fairly reliable. If the drivers are doing anything other than driving, they should be driving.
