Quarantine should be done as standard. The virus isn’t taking a holiday. If you’re leaving or entering you should not expect a normal process.

How exactly is this going to My 29th birthday the one where I was quarantined 2020 shirt be monitored?? Can’t rely on people wearing a mask let alone going into quarantine. The only way it would work is if they were put up in a hotel or similar under surveillance. All those people saying “why would you go on holiday…”; people had holidays booked before this started, and if the hotel is open and the flights are going, you won’t get any refunds. Plus, until right now, it was all fine to go abroad! Crikey, so many judgemental people here…

I am not going away (booked long before but cancelled by the airline) but I am sure many thousands have pre-booked holidays that they have to use or lose so it’s not really their fault (they couldn’t have predicted CV19 unlike some of the armchair experts here)… It’s a real shame for them and the travel industry. I’m not being facetious, genuinely, are people traveling with invalid travel insurance just now? I don’t understand how so many people are away as I thought we weren’t covered because the advice was not to travel? Has that changed?
