Many years ago families relied on reusing most fabric.. quilts, dresses, remade overalls, etc. we would be wise to repair clothing items, shoe coats, and such instead of tossing them. I have clothes from 40 years ago that have been remade to today’s styles. Natural fabrics are so resilient. Repair, restyle, save money, and the planet! I live in Italy and one of the clothing chain stores here has a program that offers a small discount in their store every time you bring in an old piece of clothing for the recycling program.
